GBT Announces Cullen Bishop as Market President for Bienville, Lincoln, and Ouachita Parishes

Thomas L. Martin, Chairman & CEO, and Mike Hipp, President, and the Board of Directors of Gibsland Bank & Trust (GBT), in their continued efforts to effectively serve the communities of Northwest Louisiana, are pleased to announce Mr. Cullen Bishop has been named the Market President for Bienville, Lincoln, and Ouachita Parishes.

“The Board of Directors and Senior Management are most confident in Cullen’s ability to lead our team members in the continued success of GBT in our eastern market, as we grow our footprint with the personal service our customers enjoy. We are proud to utilize Cullen’s talent and experience as he helps lead GBT into the future,” said Mike Hipp, President of GBT.

Cullen has been with GBT since November 18, 2019. Cullen has nine years of banking experience, including service as a Commercial Loan Officer with Century Next Bank. In addition, he has successfully led the GBT Arcadia branch as the Branch Manager, serving in many capacities, including teller to a customer service representative, consumer lender, and commercial lender.

Mr. Bishop is an active member of the Arcadia Lions Club and an avid member of “Christ Church,” he and his family have attended for three years. Mr. Bishop is currently enrolled in the Louisiana Tech University’s “School of Banking” and holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Louisiana Tech University. Mr. Bishop is also currently attending LBA Leadership School. A Ruston Native, Mr. Bishop quickly developed a passion for Banking and community development. Cullen resides in Ruston with his wife Christy and his daughter Mary Travis.
